Scouts – Troop 1019
Troop 1019 is active in Linglestown. We are a very active troop with monthly campouts or activities in addition to our meetings. Over the last few years, the troop has camped on the beach, attended camp in Rhode Island, earned our horsemanship and skating merit badges, picnicked and swam at Little Buffalo State Park, participated in many camporees, and helped members of our community with special needs fish among other exciting activities. This summer, we are camping on the Chesapeake Bay at Camp Rodney in Maryland and at Cape Henlopen in Delaware.
While the troop mainly draws from the Central Dauphin, Halifax area, Middletown, Steelton-Highspire, Susquehanna Township, and Upper Dauphin School District areas, we will happily accept scouts from any area. The troop believes that every scout has their own journey and we strive to help each young woman gain what they want from scouting. Most scouts also participate in other activities and sports, which we work to support. We welcome all girls ages 11-18 (grades 5-12).
