At this time St. Thomas UCC is actively looking for a full-time pastor following the retirement of our former pastor, Rev. Dan Schmidt.

Interim Pastor

Stan and his wife Lynda are enjoying “retirement” by hanging out with their two children and four grandchildren, often while camping and kayaking, and in serving the church. Stan is grateful and honored to serve the historic St Thomas Church as their interim pastor during this season of transition.

Music Director
Betsy has directed the music program and played organ at St. Thomas since 1997. She and her husband Curtis have two married daughters, a granddaughter and 2 grandsons. She likes to read, do crafts, and babysit their grandkids. Betsy is also the accompanist for Paxtonia Elementary’s choruses.

Administrative Assistant

Michelle, who joined St. Thomas as the administrative assistant in 2025, is married with four children. Her family relocated to the Central Pennsylvania area in 2010. All of her children attended Central Dauphin High School and have been involved in various arts, sports, and clubs.  

Doug Ferguson
Consistory President
Doug Ferguson is currently our President of Consistory and an elder. He has also previously served as a deacon. He’s been a member for 20 years and his daughter, Ella is also a member. Doug is currently employed at an industrial technology company, Phoenix Contact in Middletown. In his spare time enjoys keeping fit working out, running, golf, and doing other outdoor activities. Of course he also serves many of our church and outreach activities throughout the year as well.
